More pick-ups and through the mail auto's

This week started pretty slow as far as getting autographs through the mail so to take away the boredom I grabbed a few cards online and in person. Let's check them out!!!

I grabbed this card online and the price was more than fair as I felt too good to be true. It is the 2026 Sky Box Metal Universe SE Red autograph card of Jessica Campbell. The only downside it is not on card but a band-aid auto.

The card is serial numbered 05/25. I have never seen another one and I tried finding the card in the price guide but was unable too. I do like all of the bright colors as it makes the card look cosmic.
I was glad to see this one come back signed as I did get Head coach Laura Halldorson to sign the card. Laura has signed for me before so I knew I could get her autograph on this card which is card # 25 in the 1997-98 Inaugural Lady Gophers set. I am not looking to get the other 2 coaches autographs as Laura's is all I wanted.

This is the index card for Ronda Curtain and she had a very productive career. I like the autograph as she signed it in a silver sharpie.

This autograph is one that I needed from Peyton Hemp. Peyton plays in the PWHL and last season played for the Ottawa Charge. This season she is with Hamilton which is the franchises first season. Her autograph is decent and a lot better than some, you can see the letters more clearly.
I remember when the card above came out and I saw an auction on ebay. The patch was the Bruins old shoulder patch of a Bear and if your familiar with the patch it shows a bear with its mouth opened and the patch on the card showed the eye and the red tongue. I thought when I put my bid at $76 that I would have won but disappointment was all that I gained as the winning bid was $77 and change. I still always wonder if I will ever see that one ever again, probably not as that was back in 2001. I only have 2 of the patch versions which is what the one I lost was. The patch version is numbered to /300 the jersey version is numbered to /1400. The reverse of the card shows Kyle McLaren.
I also collect Don Sweeney cards and I have lots of these cards many with multiple colored swatches. I do have the card serial numbered 32/535 which is his jersey number and the jersey swatch is all black. It would have been nice seeing it multi colored. I only have one that is 3 colored. The problem is his cards end up in the commons stacks so not many get listed or seen at card shows.

This is another local find and my second Esposito candy dish. Not any scratches and this one is bright and clean. Another one I got for $5. It seems there still are lots of little treasure finds out there and from my experience over the years the good 'ol attic seems to be many jackpot finds.

Another nice find is this Mike Bossy certified autograph card. Mike never liked signing through the mail. I remember the first time I tried the enveloped came back with all of his address blacked out in black marker, only my return address was visible.

This one of ed Romero I got back and he has a nice auto and this one I got back in less than 2 weeks. There are still lots of players who will take the time and sign.

I always wanted an autograph from Al Jaffee and when I got this back years ago I thought this is one of the most unique autographs I own. I will say that I was shocked I got it back as I knew when I sent it that Al was in his 90's but he seemed to always look to be active and looked in good health. He was 102 years old when he passed, he is noted for the famous Mad magazine fold-in. On the inside back cover you folded the page marked A to B and it created a comic type of picture.

I hope that next week I get more autographs through the mail as last week I only got 4. I plan on getting another batch over 50 going maybe I will try for 100. I hope everyone is picking up the cards or other collectibles at reasonable prices and most important just have fun, stay safe and Happy Collecting!!!
