As a Autograph Collector just remember this: Never Give Up

Well it finally happened but it actually took longer than it should have. I have been trying to get the 2002 USA Women's Olympic Hockey set autographed and at the beginning of 2025 I was 6 players away from having the set completely autographed. I got 4 of them in 2025 and the one I got on Friday was the one that took longer to get here. The card was sent back to me on the 12th of February. I saw it on the informed delivery on February 17th. So I waited and our post office did not deliver our mail. So I figured it would be here on Tuesday but no it was not with the other mail so I figured it must have got put in someone else's box. Wednesday still not showing up but on Thursday's informed delivery it showed back up so the mail man comes and puts the mail in the box I go out and still not there. Now I am getting really frustrated. Friday not showing on informed delivery and I am not feeling that great on Friday so when the mailman brings the mail my Wife go's out to get the mail and she says it finally came.

I really did not know if it was from the one player that I had sent to because a lot of my auto requests go to Minnesota. So I held the envelope up to the light and when I saw what I saw I tore into the envelope but was careful not to damage the card. Before I had the card out I thought but what if she did not sign the card but just sent it back unsigned. I quickly grabbed the card and yes it was signed in a beautiful silver paint pen as you can see in the photo. This same card was sent to her 9 times and I got 9 RTS letters back. One day I was looking for some top loaders and I found this card. I thought to myself should I give it one more try and maybe the 10th time is a charm and yes it surely was.

I had Tricia's auto on a different Olympic card but I wanted to get all 20 cards autographed and Tricia is the 19th card that is autographed. I only need one more player and I have sent at least 3 different times but nothing back yet. Here are the other 18 cards autographed from this beautiful set and they won the Silver medal in 2002.

This lot includes left to right Chris Bailey, Sarah Tueting, Sarah DeCosta, A.J. Mleczko, Courtney Kennedy, Karen Bye.

This lot includes these players left to right; Julie Chu, Katie King, Angela Ruggiero, Andrea Kilbourne, Laurie Baker, Lyndsay Wall.

This final lot includes these players left to right; Cammi Granato, Shelley Looney, Natalie Darwitz, Krissy Wendell, Jenny potter. That is all 19 and only need one more for having the set all signed. I will do another auto request mailing soon and send a few more to the last player.

Thanks for the visit and looking forward to some responses and if you enjoy this blog please follow.
